Naomi Jean Berry Miller, age 82, of Denniston, Kentucky, passed away Thursday at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, following a brief illness. She was born February 9,1936, the daughter of the late Ernest Berry and Lula Mae Slater Berry, and passed away on February 22, 2018. Jean Miller, widely known as " Mamaw Jean," a homemaker and much-beloved matriarch of a large family, lived for many years on Betty Gap Ridge in Menifee County, Kentucky. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Miller, whom she married on August 5, 1954; son Harvey Richard Miller; grandsons James Gary Miller and Timmie Dale Botts; sister Edna Merrell Berry Lawson; and four brothers, Bufford, Verl, Virgil, and Charles Berry.
She is survived by two sons, Gary (Kathy) Miller of Denniston, and Victor Miller, also of Denniston; three daughters, Arlene Gail (Douglas) Botts
and Sandra Kay (Stephen) Savard, both of Denniston; and Connie Lynn (Jackie) Skaggs of Salt Lick; one brother, Roger Paul Berry of Wellington;
one sister, Janice Gaye (Charles) of Mariba; twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and twenty-seven nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held, 1:00pm, Sunday February 25, 2018 at Menifee Home For Funerals with Rev. Jimmy Daulton officiating. She will reside in the Miller Cemetery on Betty Gap Ridge in Denniston,KY. Visitation, 6:00pm, Saturday at Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg, KY, with Randy Halsey, Funeral Director. Pallbearers will include family and friends Travis Spencer, Morgan Spencer, Raymond Brooks, Dennie Brown,
Larry Bowman, and Stephen Savard.
