Betty Jo (Nickell) Evans

Betty Jo Evans, age 82, of Wellington,KY, passed away Monday, June 24, 2019 in the Wolfe County Health Care ,Campton,KY after an extended illness. She was born May 17, 1937 in Buskirk, KY, to Luther Nickell and Ora Lee Brewer Nickell. She worked at the Edgewood Estates and Wolfe Co.Health Care Center as a food service employee. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her savior Surviving is two daughters Pam & John Bonham of Minneapolis,MN. Freida & Michael  Burton of Gillmore,KY. Five sons Hershell & Brenda Evans of Wellington,KY. Rickie & Rhonda Evans of Georgetown,KY. Richard & Bobbie Jean Evans of Mt.Sterling,KY. Tim & Kristi Evans of Campton,KY, and Jodey & Heather Evans of Mt.Sterling,KY. Three sisters Avenell Taulbee of Melbourne,FL. Janet Nickell and Linda & Wayne Nickell of Buskirk,KY. 19 loving grandchildren,Hershell,Richard,Brendan,Jimmy,Amanda,Matthew, Derick, Stephanie, Timothy, Danny, Taylor, Meghan, Steven, Ezra,Jo Jo,David, Kristopher, Alexander, Isabelha, and 8 great-grandchildren, Patton, Noah, Isaac, Kegan, Anslee, Luke, James Blue, Michael.

She was preceded in death by her parents Luther and Ora Lee Brewer Nickell, her husband  O.P. Evans, three sisters, Olivett Nickell, Shirley Hellem, Elaine Wilson, and one brother Wardale Nickell.

Funeral service will be 1:00pm,Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Menifee Home For Funerals with Rev. Jess Brewer and Hershell Evans III officiating. Burial in Evans Cemetery, Wellington,KY. Visitation 6:00pm, Wednesday at Menifee Home For Funerals,Frenchburg, KY with Randy Halsey, Funeral Director.
