Mr. Arlo Manning Obituary

Mr. Arlo D. Manning, age 96, of Wellington, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at the Life Care Center in Morehead, Kentucky.

He joined his Wife; Edith Craft Manning & Son; Roger Manning on April 18, 2007.

He was born on April 14, 1911 in Morgan County, Kentucky; son of the late Charles Manning and Clara Havens Manning.

In 1942, Arlo left Kentucky and moved to Dayton, Ohio. He retired from Dayton Tire and Rubber Company in 1973. He was a member of Vandalia Church of the Nazarene for 36 years. He received the Distinguished Service Award for 1985-1989 from Vandalia Church of the Nazarene. He moved back to Kentucky in 1993 and became a member of the Big Woods Community Church in Wellington, Kentucky.

He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by his Wife; Edith Manning, 1 Son; Roger Manning, 1 Sister; Alice Mays, and 2 Brothers; Chester and Miles Manning.

He is survived by 2 Daughters; Sylvia & Otis Powell of Vandalia, Ohio and Carol & Gail Meagley of Wellington, Kentucky; 3 Sons; Lawrence & Jeanette Manning of Dayton, Ohio and Gary & Lucinda Manning of Taylorsville, Utah and Dwayne Manning of Sunbury, Ohio; 1 Daughter-in-Law; Sandra Manning of Dayton, Ohio; 1 Sister; Lilly Mae Rich of Mason, Ohio; 14 Grandchildren, 2 Step-Grandchildren, 18 Great-Grandchildren, 11 Step-Great-Grandchildren, 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren, 7 Step-Great-Great-Grandchildren, and many Nieces & Nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at the Big Woods Community Church in Wellington, Kentucky with Rev. Jess Brewer Officiating. Burial will follow with Interment at the Higgins Cemetery in Wellington, Kentucky. Visitation will begin after 6:00 p.m. at the Big Woods Community Church with Menifee Home for Funeral in Frenchburg, Kentucky entrusted with all Funeral Arrangements.

Honorary Pallbearers: Lawrence Manning, Gary Manning and Otis Powell.

Active Pallbearers: Dwayne Manning, Andrew Manning, Jeffrey Manning, Jesse Manning, Ryan Blalock, Gail Meagley and Keith Meagley.
