Mr. Curtis Lee Lykins, age 86 of Salt Lick, Kentucky; widower of Oma Gladys Boyd Lykins; passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born on June 10, 1920 in Morgan County, Kentucky; son of the Late Samuel Henry Lykins and Lucinda Williams Lykins.
He was preceded in death by his Loving Wife; Oma Gladys Boyd Lykins; Granddaughter; Lucinda Lee Lykins; also 8 Sisters & 2 Brothers.
Mr. Lykins was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II. He also was a farmer and carpenter.
He reconfirmed his belief in Christ Jesus as his Personal Savior and was baptized in 2003.
Mr. Lykins is survived by 3 Sons: Larry B. Lykins & Carol of Bullard, Texas; Gregory L. Lykins & Shirley of Salt Lick, Kentucky; and also Ivan Lykins & Connie of Salt Lick, Kentucky; 3 Daughters: Lana Campbell & Keith of Leander, Texas; Karen Brown & Ricky of Hillsboro, Kentucky; and also Cinda Royse & Jeff of Chesapeake, Virginia; there are 11 Grandchildren, 21 Great-Grandchildren, and Several Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, February 3, 2007 at Menifee Home For Funerals with Bro. Ronnie Beams Officiating. Burial will follow with Interment at Owingsville Cemetery in Owingsville, Kentucky. Visitation will begin after 6:00 pm, Friday, February 2, 2007 at the Menifee Home For Funerals in Frenchburg, Kentucky.
