Phillip Spencer, age 69, of Frenchburg, KY passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2019, in the Life Care Center, Morehead, KY. He was born September 27, 1950, in Williamson, W. VA. to Paul and Pansy Louise Jones Spencer. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior. For all who knew him loved him. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and at his cabin he built. Playing softball, cornhole, golf, and horseshoes. Fishing, hunting and trapping, he just loved the outdoors. He retired from Boneal as a truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Pansy Louise Jones Spencer. His wife Sharon Back Spencer. Four Brothers, Earnest Earl Spencer, Kelley Spencer, Ewell Davis Jr., and Gene Hall. One Sister, Alfreda Sheppard, One special nephew, Kevin Spencer. Surviving is three daughters, Theina (Johnny) Brown, Tina (Neal) Sexton, and Trina (Kenny) Hudson. One son, Barron (Missy) Centers. Six grandchildren, Cheyenna (Josh) Setters, Chayse Brown, Spencer Hudson, Taylor Hudson, Eli Sexton, and Cody Centers. One great-grandson on the way, Jaxon Brett Setters. One brother, Paul (Linda) Spencer Jr. Five sisters, Susie (Gary) McCoy, Theresa Reeves, Louise Henry, Dorothy ( David) Wills, and Mary Spencer Crouch. And a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be Sunday 1:00 PM, November 10, 2019, at the Menifee Home for Funerals, Frenchburg, KY. with Rev. Jess Brewer officiating. Burial at the Benson & Craig Cemetery, Frenchburg, KY. Visitation will be 6:00 PM Saturday at the Menifee Home for Funerals with Randy Halsey Funeral Director. Pallbearers will be Chayse Brown, Evan Lyons, Josh Setters, Spencer Hudson, Lyle Crouch Jr., Bob Sheppard, Mason McCoy, and Mark Patrick. Honorary pallbearers, Paul Spencer Jr., Eli Sexton, Neal Sexton, Linn (Worm) Planck, Ollie Whitaker, Kenny Hudson, Ian Givens, Tracy Abney, Johnny Dean Brown, Von Peck, Jacob Lawson, and Dennis Harper.
