Ralph W. Shubert Sr.

Ralph Wesley Shubert Sr., of Albany, Georgia passed away Friday, August 17, 2018 at his home after an extended illness. Born January 2, 1947 in Camargo, Kentucky he was the son of Jack and Iva Barker Shubert. He retired from the Marine Corps Logistics Base after 37 years.  He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Iva Barker Shubert and one sister Beverly Jones.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Wynn Shubert of 51 years, two sons Wes (Diane) Shubert, Bill (Elizabeth) Shubert all of Albany, Georgia. Seven grandchildren, Ashley (Anthony), Hali (Cameron), Elizabeth, Cody, Scott, Corey and Christopher. Five great-grandchildren, Landyn, Khloe, Jasper, Kannen and Oaklyn. One sister Jean Carmichael of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held 11:30am, Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Menifee Home For Funerals with Rev. Jerry Carmichael officiating. Interment in Woodward Cemetery, Tarr Ridge Road, Frenchburg, Kentucky. Visitation will be 7:00pm, Monday at Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg, Kentucky with Randy Halsey Funeral Director.

Honorary pallbearers: Kenny Wayne Bryant, Tom Woodward and Bill Klaber. Active pallbearers; Cody Shubert, Scott Shubert, Corey Shubert, Christopher Shubert, Anthony Entrekin, Rusty Klaber and John Klaber.

A memorial service will follow August 26, 2018 at 2:00pm at Coroner Stone Baptist Church, Albany, Georgia.
