Ancel Ray Spencer

Ancel Ray Spencer, age 79 of Wellington, Kentucky, passed away Monday, January 20,2020 in Frenchburg, Kentucky, after an extended illness. He was born April 22,1940 in Korea, Kentucky to the late Benny Valen and Mary Lou Sorrell Spencer. He was a retired Kentucky state worker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Wanda Phyllis Pugh Spencer, one sister Eula Kathernie Spencer Williams, two brothers Jackie and Lonnie Garland Spencer.

Surviving is one sister, Arlene Williams of Frenchburg,KY, and two brothers, Arlie and Lucy Spencer of Mt. Sterling, KY, and J.B. and Sharon Spencer of Ezel, KY. A host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews, and great, great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm, Thursday, January 23,2020 at Menifee Home For Funerals with Rev. David Hale officiating. Burial in Spencer Family Cemetery, Wellington, KY. Visitation will be 11:00am Thursday at Menifee Home For Funerals,Frenchburg, KY, with Randy Halsey,Funeral Director. Active pallbearers: Nephews. Honorary pallbearers: William Anderson, David Cain, Tom Peck, Darrell Wells and Ollie Williams.
