Barbara Faye (Perry) Murphy

Barbara Faye Perry Murphy, age 75, of Murphy Lane, Frenchburg, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 in the U.K.Hospital, Lexington, Kentucky after a brief illness. Born November 9,1945, in West Liberty, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Emmett Perry and Anna Alice Cottle Perry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Nannie E. Peck, Bernice M. Gilliam, and five brothers, Harold Perry, Earnest C. Perry, Ronnie D. Perry, J.D. Perry and Charles E. Perry.

Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, Jesse Hazelrigg Murphy; three children, Ricky Dale Brown (Angie), Jessica Susan Doss, and Bradley Steven Murphy (Stephanie) all of Frenchburg, Kentucky. Four grandchildren: Carla Latisha Brown, Benjamin Scott Phillips, Trysten Scott Phillips, Jesse Wayne Murphy. Three great-grandchildren: Lacy Anna Akers, Blake Elliott Akers, Kelly Lynn Akers. Other survivors includes one brother, Jimmy R. Perry of Franklin, Ohio, three sisters, Geneva A. Barker of West Liberty,KY, Bonnie J. Gambill (husband Donnie) of South Lebanon,Ohio, and Connie S. Brown of Frenchburg, KY.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she loved spending time with her family. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior. She will be sadly missed by her loving family and many friends.

Funeral services will be held 12:Noon, Monday, January 18, 2021 at Menifee Home For Funerals with Rev. David Hale officiating. Burial will follow in Cottle Cemetery, Gordon Ford Road, West Liberty, KY. Pallbearers: Ricky Brown, Bradley Murphy, Benjamin Phillips, Trysten Phillips, Steve Peck, and Jason Perry.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 18,2021 at Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg, KY with Randy Halsey Funeral Director.

COVID-19 mandate/ regulations will be followed as set forth by Governor Beshear and the CDC. The family request that visitors respect their desire to keep everyone safe by practicing social distancing guidelines and to wear a face covering of some sort.
