Bernice Jones Smallwood, age, 70 of Wellington, KY passed away July 12, 2023 after an extended illness at Ridgeway Nursing Home in Owingsville, KY. She was born November 12, 1952 Frenchburg ,KY to Sam & Lola Wells Jones.

She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior. She retired from the Menifee County Court House, Frenchburg, KY.

Preceded in death by her parents, Sam Jones & Lola Wells Jones, her husband of 47 years Roger Smallwood Sr., 3 sisters, Wilda Highley, Norma Dalton, Delphine Townsend.

Surviving are her 2 sons, Stacy & Youvina Smallwood of Frenchburg, KY, Roger Smallwood & Jaycee Hurley of Wellington, KY. 7 grandchildren, Javen Smallwood (Megan), Megan & Alan Michael Peck, Makenna Hurley, Kristen & Michael Hall, Ashton Smallwood (Chase), Chelby Stevens, Haley Stevens (Eric). 3 great grandchildren, Amelia Jade Peck, Ella Reese Peck, Maverick Cole Hall. 4 sisters, Oleane Carter, Henrietta Roberts, Barbara Helton all of Frenchburg, Allafaire Sorrell of Wellington, KY. 3 brothers, Otis Jones of Jackson, KY, Samuel Jones Frenchburg, KY, Robert Jones Winchester, KY.

Funeral services will be held at the Menifee Home For Funerals Chapel, Frenchburg, KY at 1:00 PM Saturday July 15, 2023 with Bro. David Hale & Bro. Dennis Flannery officiating. Interment will be held at the Lovelace Cemetery in Mariba, KY. Visitation starts at 6:00 PM Friday July 14, 2023 at the Menifee Home For Funerals Chapel, Frenchburg, KY.
