Betty (Conway) Carter

Betty Conway Carter, of Martha Court, Lexington, Kentucky, passed away Friday, February 19,2021 at her home after an extended illness at the age of 86. She was born March 22,1934 in Frenchburg,KY to Oliver and Gladys McKenzie Conway. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior. She was a retired LPN.

Surviving are three children, Kathy Brewer, Joyce Gayle Matherly and Robin Lee all of Lexington, KY. Five grandchildren: Robb Clay Matherly (Julie), Natasha Brewer, Andrew Brewer, Brittany Brewer, Cameron Brewer. Five great-grandchildren: Emma Breeze, Sophia Breeze, Cali Breeze, Silas Matherly, Iris Matherly. Three sisters, Marcella “Ann” Mullins, and Cherie Ferrell (Richard) both of Frenchburg, KY. Lana Darlene Conway of Dayton, OH. Three brothers, Larry Conway and Gary Conway both of Burlington, KY. Rick Conway (Sonia) of Frenchburg, KY. Two sisters-in-law, Janice Conway of Frenchburg, KY. Hazel Conway of Covington, KY.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Gladys McKenzie Conway, husband Henry Carter, and two brothers, Gene Conway and Roy Don Conway.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 25,2021 at Menifee Home For Funerals with Rev. Jimmy Daulton officiating. Burial in the Gibbs Cemetery, McCausey Ridge Road, Frenchburg, KY. Pallbearers are grandsons and friends. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, at Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg, KY, with Randy Halsey, Funeral Director.

COVID-19 mandate/regulations will be followed as set forth by Governor Beshear and the CDC. The family request that visitors respect their desire to keep everyone safe by practicing social distancing guidelines and to wear a face covering of some sort.
