Charles Bailey, age 88, of Wellington, KY, a retired farmer passed away Wednesday, March 10,2021 in the UK Bluegrass Hospice Care Center, Lexington, KY. He was born January 31,1933 in Mize, KY a son of Jack and Lula Centers Bailey. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior and he served in the army during the Korean War.
Survivors are two daughters, Charlene & Bill Drennen of Mt. Sterling, KY, and Jennifer Cox of Wellington, KY. Two sons, Tony & Nancy Bailey and Justin & Martie Bailey all of Wellington, KY. One brother, Beachel Bailey of Campton, KY. Three grandchildren, Bryan Cox, Ashley Asher, Grant Bailey. Three step grandchildren: Dakota Ferrell, Audrianna Ferrell, Marlee Patrick. Four great grandchildren: Lane Cox, Matthew Cox, Alexis Asher, Jacob Asher. One step-great granddaughter, Shaelynn Ruth Bromagen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack & Lula Centers Bailey, his wife, Lodema Halsey Bailey, and brother Clarence Bailey.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Sunday, March 14,2021 at Menifee Home For Funerals with Rev. Martin Stamper officiating. Burial in Bailey Family Cemetery, Wellington, KY. Visitation 6:00pm, Saturday at Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg, KY with Randy Halsey, Funeral Director. Pallbearers: Clifford Sexton, Eric Asher, Grant Bailey, Dakota Arvin, Chris Maloney, Bryan Cox.
