Charles T. Benson

Charles T. Benson, 88, of Frenchburg, KY passed away Sunday, June 30, 2024 in St. Claire Medical Center, Morehead, KY after an extended illness. He was born June 11,1936 in Sudith, KY son of the late Claude Benson and Clara Holland Benson. He was a United States Navy veteran, and retired from KY State Highway Department.

Surviving is one son Douglas Benson, Mt. Sterling, KY. Three grandchildren, Lindsay Benson Cox, Jason & Paige Benson, and Hayden Benson. One brother, William Leonard ‘Joker’ & Peggy Benson of Frenchburg, KY. Two sisters-in-law Mary Hannah Benson, Frenchburg, KY and Pat Benson of Miamisburg, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Bonnie Sallee Benson, three sisters, Elizabeth, Christine, and Emma. Five brothers, James, Edward, George, Wayne and Wilbur.

Graveside services will be Friday, July 5,2024 at 12: Noon in the Benson & Craig Cemetery, KY 36, Craig Hill, Frencbhurg,KY with Rev. Roger Wells officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the Morgan County DAV, Chapter 132 at gravesite. Pallbearers will be friends and relatives.
