Charles Vinson Montgomery

Charles V.Montgomery,age 91 of Menifee Co., Ky died Saturday Dec.18, 2006 at the Stanton Nursing Home,Stanton,Ky.

He was born Feburary 27, 1915 in Scranton, Kentucky; son the late Newt Montgomery and Elizabeth Mynhier Montgomery.

Charles was a retired Fire Chief and a US Army Veteran of WWII. He attended the First Church of God, Frenchburg, KY.

In addition to her parents, he was preceded in death by his 1st Wife; Rita O'Connor Montgomery, His 2nd Wife; Geneva Williams Montgomery, 3 Brothers and 8 Sisters.

He is survived by 1 Daughter; Sheila & Andrew Long of Freehold, New Jersey; 1 Son; Bill & June Montgomery of Jeffersonville, KY; 1 Sister; Eula Dunagan of Covington, KY; 3 Grandsons; Bill Montgomery, Ian Long and David Long.

Funeral Services will be conducted 7:00 pm, Monday, December 18, 2006 at Menifee Home for Funerals with Rev. Roger Wells officiating. Burial will follow with Interment at the Woodbine Cemetery in Oceanport, New Jersey. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm, Monday, December 19, 2006 at Menifee Home for Funerals, Frenchburg, KY.

Pallbearers will be Friends & Relatives.
