Christopher Ray Wells

Christopher Ray Wells, 40, passed away on August 11,2025 in Reid Hospital, Richmond, Indiana. Chris was born on October 21,1984 in Morehead, KY to his mother, Renita Back (Mt. Sterling, KY), and his father, Tracy Wells (Jennifer), Frenchburg, KY. He was a 2003 graduate of Menifee County High School. He worked several different jobs over the years.

Chris was also an organ donor. Chris’s main priority in life was to love his children. He often said that his ‘children were his world’, and he sincerely meant that.

In addition to his  mother, Renita Back, Mt. Sterling, KY  and his father,  Tracy Wells (Jennifer),  Frenchburg, KY; he is survived by his children: Joshua, James, and Jaylynn Wells and three other children whom he loved as his own: Lenny and McKenzie Goodpaster, and Isabelle Kuhn. One grandmother Ruby Murphy. Two sisters, Amy Wells and Tiffany Back. One brother, Silas Ingram (Payton). Four nephews Alex Spence, Brayden Huff, Tobias Ingram, and Daymin Wells. One niece, Georgia Ingram, and a host of uncles, aunts and cousins.

Chris was preceded in death by one son Waylon Wells, three grandparents, Patty Wells, Rodney Wells, And Kenneth Crain. One uncle, Roy Wells and one special cousin Ezra Wells.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held to honor Chris on Saturday, September 6,2025 at 1:00pm at Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg, KY. Randy Halsey, Funeral Director. Visitation,12:noon, Saturday at Menifee Home For
