Corba 'Dink' Sweeney

Corba ' Dink' Sweeney, age 81, of Somerville,OH.,and Frenchburg, KY, passed away Wednesday, February 3,2021 in the Fort Hamilton Hospital,Hamilton,Ohio after an extended illness. He was born September 10, 1939 in Frenchburg,KY, to the late James Henry Sweeney and Dortha Ann (nee Walton) Sweeney. He was a member of the First Church Of God, Frenchburg,KY. A retired construction supervisor and he served in the US Army. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers Leslie, Raymond and Carl Sweeney.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Kathryn Sue Sweeney (nee Callahan) of Somerville, OH. Three children, Bill Sweeney (Michelle Sweeney) of Wilmington, NC, Stacy Sweeney of Milford, OH, and Jesse Sweeney of Williamsburg, OH. Two sisters Kathleen Perry of Frenchburg, KY. Ella Hobbs of Somerville, OH. Five grandchildren, Ronnie Hensley (Krystle Hensley), Danny Sweeney, Aleesha Nichols (Marc Nichols), Vanessa Sweeney, and Zach Sweeney. Five great-grandchildren, Reagan Hensley, Franklin Hensley, Shire Warnock, Bane Nichols, and Corrina Sweeney.

Funeral services 1:00pm, Saturday, February 6,2021 at Menifee Home For Funerals with Rev. Roger Wells officiating. Burial in Ginter Cemetery, Leatherwood, KY (with Military Honors conducted by American Legion Post # 22, Mt. Sterling, KY.) Visitation 11:00am Saturday at Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg, KY with Randy Halsey Funeral Director.

Pallbearers: Danny Sweeney, Ronnie Hensley, Mike Perry, Mark Lightfoot, Greg Perry, Shire Warnock, Mike Crouch and Zach Sweeney.
