Curtis Ova Blankenship

Mr. Curtis Ova Blankenship, age 86 of Frenchburg, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at his home after an extended illness. He was born April 2, 1925 in West Liberty, Kentucky; son of Newt Blankenship and Minnie Wagers Blankenship. He worked and retired from General Motors in Norwood, Ohio after 34 years.He was a member of the First Church of God in Frenchburg, KY and WW II Army Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, a Son, Clyde D. Blankenship and 1 Granddaughter, Rhonda Abrams.

He is survived by his Wife, Deloris Jean Thomas Blankenship of Frenchburg, 4 Daughters; Betty (Tim) Morrison of Beattyville, KY, Diane (Tim) Abrams of Berea, KY, Debbie Williams of Frenchburg, Joy (Von) Mullins of Frenchburg, KY, Six Sons, Mack Bolan of Austin, Texas, Ray (Patty) Blankenship of New Castle, Indiana, Darryl Blankenship of New Miami, Ohio, Mike (Katie) Blankenship of Peebles, Ohio, Denzil (Arlene) Back of Frenchburg, KY and Donald (Nancy) Back of Frenchburg.

Also 49 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 pm Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Menifee Home For Funerals Chapel with Rev. Roger Wells Officiating.Burial will follow in the Mack Cemetery in Frenchburg, KY.

Visitation after 6:00 pm Saturday at Menifee Home For Funerals. Military Graveside Rites conducted by Morgan County D.A.V Chapter #132. Honorary Pallbearers: Lowell Williams, Sammy Lawson, Roy Dale, Wynn, Darrell Baker, Todd Trimble and Don McNabb. Active Pallbearers: Scot Williams, Jamie Williams, Kendall Back, Kelly Tufano, Curt Ledford & Jason Gomez.
