David “Joell” Bentley, age 43 of Owingsville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020 in St.Joseph Hospital, Lexington, Kentucky after an extended illness. Born in Prestonsburg, Kentucky on February 22, 1977 to Marvin and Lorene George Bentley. David was a member of the Lake View Church of Truth, Rogers, Kentucky. Surviving is his parents, Marvin & Lorene George Bentley of Wellington, Kentucky. Two daughters, Savanah Bentley of Richmond, Kentucky and Jessica Bentley of Campton, Kentucky. One son, David Austin & Siearra Bentley of Wellington, Kentucky. Two sisters, Tracy & Richard McCown of Frenchburg, Kentucky, and Renea Bentley of Camden, S.C. One brother, Michael Todd & Diana Bentley of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.

Funeral service will be conducted 1:00pm, Friday, February 28,2020 at Big Woods Community Church,Wellington, Kentucky, with Bro Earnie Childers and Rev. Jess Brewer officiating. Burial in the Big Woods Community Cemetery,Wellington, Kentucky. Visitation will be 6:00pm,Thursday at Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg, Kentucky with Randy Halsey, Funeral Director. Pallbearers: Michael Todd Bentley, Damian Bentley, David Austin Bentley, John Reynolds, Aaron McCown, and Richard McCown.
