Deloris Jean Thomas Blankenship, age 95, of Frenchburg,KY passed away Sunday, December 19,2021 at her daughter, Debbie Williams home after an extended illness. She was born July 15,1926 in Dayton, Ohio to Raymond Thomas and Carma Dennis Thomas. She attended the First Church of God, Frenchburg, KY. She retired after 20 years of working, 10 years at the Jane Cook Hospital in Frenchburg,KY, and 10 years at the Extended Care Facility, Mt. Sterling, KY as a nursing assistant.
Surviving are two sons, Denzil and Arlene Back and, Donald & Nancy Back both of Sudith, KY. Two daughters Debbie Williams of Means, KY. Joy and Von Mullins of Frenchburg,KY. Sister Gail and KC Amburgey of Frenchburg, KY. Five sisters-in-laws, Jean Thomas of Frenchburg,KY. Loretta Thomas and Carolyn Thomas both of Wellington, KY. Gwen Thomas of Means, KY, and Reva Thomas of Indiana. Twelve grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren,16 great-great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Carma Dennis Thomas, her husband Curt Blankenship, three sisters, Wanda MacKinnon, Gerry Johnson, Patti Berry. Five brothers, Stanley, Denver, Bob, Bill and Gary Thomas.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Wednesday, December 22,2021 in Menifee Home For Funerals with Rev. Roger Wells and Rev. Mike Sexton officiating. Burial in the Mack Cemetery, McCausey Ridge, Frenchburg,KY. Visitation will be 11:00am, Wednesday in Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg, KY Randy Halsey Funeral Director.
