James Donald Bryant,78,of Hwy 36,Frenchburg,Ky passed away Thursday in the Veterans Hospital,Cooper Dr.Lexington,Ky. after a brief illness. He was born November 8,1933 in Denniston,Ky and was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Bryant.

He was a retired store merchant and was a veteran of the U.S.Army..

Surviving is his mother, Bernice Little Bryant of Frenchburg,.One daughter, Myra Bryant Poteet of Lexington,Ky. Three sons, Bart (Mary) Bryant and Carl (Heather) Bryant all of Hazel Green,Ky. David (Melissa) Bryant of Fort Bragg,N.C.

Three sisters, Wanda Warren of Lexington,Ky. Margaret (Harry) Lentz of Broken Arrow, OK. Anita (John) Fugate of Hershey.PA.

Five brothers: Harold (Rose) Bryant of Sudith,Ky. Ival (Linda) Bryant of Frenchburg,Ky. Edward (Ruth) Bryant of Frenchburg,Ky. Merle(Kathy) Bryant of Berea,Ky. Bruce (Barbara) Bryant of Libertyville,IL., Thirteen grandchildren & One great-grandchild. Special person, Geraldine Ferrell Jones of Salt Lick.Ky.

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM,Monday October 15,2012 at the Bethel Baptist Church,Frenchburg,Ky. Burial in the Ezel Cemetery,Ezel,Ky.

Visitation 5:PM,Sunday at Menifee Home For Funerals,Frenchburg,Ky.

Pallbearers: Bart Bryant, Carl Bryant, David Bryant,Jeff Bryant,James Bryant, John Bryant, Alex Poteet and Andrew Poteet.
