Donnie L. Smith, age 69, of Frenchburg, KY passed away Saturday, March 8,2025 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born July 12,1955 in Middletown, OH, son of Ezra B. Smith and Marie Day Vest. He was a retired carpenter, a loving husband, dad, pappy, Christian, brother, uncle and friend.

Surviving is his wife Ronetta Sorrell Smith, two sons Matthew (Natisha) Smith, Curtis Smith. four grandchildren Zailey Smith, Jacob Smith, Isaiah Smith, Gatlin Smith. Sister Becky (Kenny) VanCleve. four brothers Willie Ray Smith, Mike (Debbie) Smith Dwight (Denise) Smith, and Richard Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ezra B. Smith & Marie Day Vest, two sisters Brenda Jean Smith and Theresa Laird Smith.

Funeral services will be 1:pm, Wednesday March 12, 2025, at Menifee Home for Funerals with Pastor Jeff Fannin officiating. Burial in the Smith Cemetery, Tarr Ridge Rd.,Frenchburg, KY. Visitation, 6:pm Tuesday at Menifee Home for Funerals, Frenchburg, KY. Randy Halsey, Funeral Director.
