Mr. Dorsey R. Cox, age 77 of Hwy 746 in Wellington, Kentucky passed away Thursday at the St. Joseph Hospital East in Lexington, Ky after a brief illness.
He was born April 16, 1930 in Menifee County, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his Parents; Francis Marion Cox & Vessie Yocum Cox and two sisters Callie Stottlemeier & Mary Lou Cox.
He was a member of the Pomeroyton Union Church in Pomeroyton, Kentucky; a retired Civilian Employee & a United States Army Veteran serving in the Korean War.
Surviving is his Wife; Joyce Combs Cox of Wellington, Kentucky, One Daughter; Linda Sue Brock of Dayton, Ohio and Five Sons; Anthony Dorsey Cox, Timothy Shawn Cox, David Lee Cox & James M. Cox all of Dayton, Ohio and Tony Nienaber of Richmond, Virgina Two Sisters; Annis Bowman of Wellington, Kentucky and Bernice Schumaker of Michigan. One Brother; Paul Kendrick of Xenia, Ohio. Five Grandchildren; Brooke & Brandy Cox, Angel Cox, Ashley Nienaber, Kimberly Wilson. One Great-Grandson; Austin Lee Cox.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1;30 PM Sunday April 6, 2008 at Menifee Home For Funerals with Rev. Terry Wells officiating. Interment will follow with burial in the Pomeroyton Cemetery in Pomeroyton, Kentucky. Visitation will begin after 12:00 Noon Sunday at Menifee Home For Funerals in Frenchburg, Kentucky.
Pallbearers: will be his Sons.
