passed away Wednesday,January 1,2014 in the Edgewood Estates Nursing Home,Frenchburg,Ky after a brief illness.

Born in Ezel,Ky
December 23,1919,daughter of the late Earnest and Eliza Carpenter Wallen.Besides her parents,a son,M.Eddie Carter,a great-grandson,Evan E.Carter,and four sisters, Mildred Montgomery,Sarah Jane Lovely, Jean Frolo,Alice Bandy and three brothers, Lummy,Clarence and Eugene Wallen
preceded her in death.
She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church,Frenchburg,Ky.

Surviving is three daughters,
Vaughn Carter,Frenchburg,Ky. Janet Carter and Kaye Whalen both of Lexington,Ky. Two sons, Victor & Toni Carter of Frenchburg,Ky. Steven & Joan Carter of Frencbhurg,Ky. Four granddaughters, Lisa Ferrell,
Lydia Carter Randall, Ashley Carter and Melissa Carter. Two grandsons, Frank Pitts and Adam E.Carter. Four great-grandsons.
One sister, Norma Groves,Vandalia,OH. Special niece,Maudie Lawson and many other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:PM,Saturday,January 4th,2014 at the United Presbyterian Church with Rev.Kerry Conlee officiating.

Burial in the Back Cemetery, Wellington,Ky.

Visitation 6:PM,Friday at the United Presbyterian Church,Frenchburg,Ky.
Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg,Ky.
