Elmer Rowe

Elmer Rowe of Means, KY departed this life on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at his home after an extended illness at the age of 72. He was born March 1, 1952 in Frenchburg, KY son of Cletus Rowe and Gladys Viney Powell Rowe. He was a retired saw mill worker.

Elmer was a cherished member of the Means Community Miracle Church. His faith and love for God and his family was his legacy. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, kindness and humble spirit.

Surviving is his soulmate for 60 years Nancy L. Ritchie, Means, KY. Four children Teresa Englemen “Ritchie” (Michael), Jeffersonville, KY. Mary Rowe French (Jim) Flemingsburg, KY. Tammy Jo Glass “Rowe” (Jimmy), of Mt. Sterling, KY. Jason Rowe (Tina) of Means, KY. Fourteen grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren. Siblings Edna Mae Ingram (Claude), of Frenchburg, KY, Arlie Rowe (Danita) of Means, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents Cletus Rowe and Gladys Viney Powell Rowe. Son Elmer Lee Ritchie, three sisters Norma Thomas, Minnie Miller & (spouse James), Effie Rowe. Two brothers, Herman Rowe & (spouse Della Marie) and James Rowe.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at the Means Community Miracle Church, 6584 US Route 460, Frenchburg, KY, with Bro. Tommy Evans officiating. Interment in the Rowe & Moore Cemetery, Means, KY. Visitation will be 6:00pm, Monday, October 21,2024 at the Means Community Miracle Church, 6584 US Route 460, Frenchburg, KY.
