Gayle Craft

Gayle Craft, 71, of Wellington, was born on April 19, 1955, and passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026, at UK St. Claire Hospital in Morehead. Gayle was preceded in death by her son, Michael Shawn Craft; her great-granddaughter, Lelani Faith Stump; her parents; and three brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her loving husband, Clyde Craft of Wellington; her son, Steve & Shona Craft of Wellington. Gayle is survived by five grandchildren: Montana Lashae & Nathaniel Stump of Frenchburg, Shelby Cheyenne Craft of Morehead, Meridath Nicole Craft of Lexington, Michael Allen Craft & Morgan Craft of Morehead, and Alexander Jordan Craft of Mount Sterling. Gayle also leaves behind eight great-grandchildren: Milo, Liam, Michael, Willow, and Ehren Stump; Gage and GraceLynn Marcum; and Octavia Craft. She is also survived by several brothers, sisters, extended family members, and many friends who will deeply miss her.

Was a member of the House of Prayer Church, Valeria, KY. Gayle will be remembered for the love she gave to her family, the strength she carried through life, and the special place she held in the hearts of those who knew her. Her memory will live on through the lives she touched and the love she leaves behind.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 1:00pm at Menifee Home For Funerals with Bro. David Campbell with a message of comfort to the family and friends. Interment in the Michael Shawn Craft Cemetery, Wellington, KY. Visitation: 6:00pm Wednesday at Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg, KY. Randy Halsey, funeral director.
