Greta Blankenship

Greta Blankenship, age 75, of 110 Johnson Branch in Frenchburg, Kentucky passed away Friday, July 29th, 2011 at her residence after an extended illness.

She was born March 17, 1936 in Williamson, WV; daughter of the late Carl Justice & Sally Jane Chapman Birkhead.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Joe P. Blankenship and her Son, Ira Joe Blankenship, one Brother, Carl Lee Birkhead and one Sister, Rose Mary Craddock. She was a member of the Frenchburg Baptist Church in Frenchburg, Kentucky.

Surviving is two Daughters, Elizabeth Burton of Frenchburg, KY and Mitzi & Tom Adams of Frankfort, KY. One Son, Bryan & Kathi Blankenship of Georgetown, KY. Three Sisters, Julia Workman of Elizabethtown, KY, Barbara Blair of Ashland, KY & Sally Birkhead of California. Seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral service conducted at 11:00 am Monday, August 1st, 2011 at Menifee Home For Funerals Chapel with Rev. Buddy Rhodes officiating.

Burial will follow at the Benson & Craig Cemetery in Frenchburg, Kentucky.

Visitation after 6:00 pm Sunday at Menifee Home For Funerals in Frenchburg, Kentucky
