Jack D. Ferrell

Jack D. Ferrell, age, 72, of Frenchburg, KY passed away Monday September 4, 2023 at the St. Claire Medical Center Morehead, KY after an extended illness. He was born April 28, 1951 in Frenchburg, KY to Emerson & Phyllis Crain Ferrell.

He was a member of the Frenchburg Baptist church Frenchburg, KY. He enjoyed dirt track racing, UK basketball, Menifee basketball, camping, yelling at referees, as well as spending time with his grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, Emerson & Phyllis Crain Ferrell. 2 brothers in law, Merlin Noble & Richard Wells.

Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Kim Hays Ferrell, 2 sons, Mike Ferrell & Will (Alecia) Ferrell & 1 daughter, Jacki (Rob) Byrd. 10 grandchildren, Corie (Ulysses) Walton, Colbie (Craig) Holmes, Seth Baldwin, Coldin Byrd, Jayden Ferrell, Parker Ferrell, Arabella Ferrell, Issy Walton, Elam Walton, Haddon Walton. 3 sisters, Cheryl Wells, Kathy & Danny Thomas, Brenda Noble, 1 brother, Anthony (Carolyn) Ferrell. A host of nieces, nephews & wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday September 7, 2023 at the Menifee Home For Funerals Chapel in Frenchburg, KY with Bro. Ulysses Walton officiating. Interment will be held at the Ferrell Cemetery in Frenchburg, KY. Visitation starts at 6:00 PM Wednesday September 6, 2023 at Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg, KY. Randy Halsey, Funeral Director.
