James Hurt

James Hurt, age 61, of Wellington, KY, passed away Friday, September 10,2021 in St. Joseph Hospital Hospital, Mt. Sterling,KY after a brief illness. He was born June 9, 1960 in Frenchburg, KY to Odie Junior Hurt and Nannie Belle Peck Hurt. He was a member of the Church of Living God, Jeffersonville, KY. He was a retired farmer.

Surviving are his wife Cleta King Hurt, two daughters, Vanessa Bromwell (Scott), Jessica Blevins (Jared). Four sons, Carl Hurt (Kristin), James Perry, Billy Perry, Brian Perry (Tracy). 17 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Odie Junior Hurt and Nannie Belle Peck Hurt.

Funeral services will be 11:30am, Monday, September 13,2021 at Menifee Home For Funerals with Bro. Lonnie Meeks and Bro. Brian Hampton officiating. Burial in Hurt Cemetery, Pomeroyton,KY. Visitation 6:00pm,Sunday at Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg, KY Randy Halsey Funeral Director.
