Jerry Allen Phillips, age 67, of Hwy 1274, Frenchburg, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2020 in St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, Kentucky after a brief illness. He was born February 28, 1952 in Frenchburg, Kentucky to the late Tina Caudill Phillips and Johnny L. Phillips. He was a former Menifee County Deputy Sheriff. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Alice Brown, Judy Phillips Bates, and Lois Crouch, and three brothers, Fred, Robert Eugene, and Olney Phillips.
Surviving is his wife, Maxine Barker Phillips, of Frenchburg, KY, and three sons, Jeremy Phillips of Findlay, Ohio, Jon Phillips of Morehead, Ky, Jerred Phillips of Mt. Sterling, KY, and one daughter, Jessica Hopper of Winchester, Ky. Five grandchildren and one special nephew Jeff Phillips and many nieces and nephews. He was a member of Pine Grove Community Church, and was baptized September 20, 2009,a member of the Gideons since 2010.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm,Tuesday,February 11,2020 at Menifee Home For Funerals, with Bro. Aaron Brooks and Bro. Mike Butler officiating. Burial in Phillips Cemetery, Pomeroyton,Kentucky. Visitation will be 11:00am,Tuesday at Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg, Kentucky, with Randy Halsey, Funeral Director. Active pallbearers: Dewayne Brown, Matt Brown, Allen Wells, Richard Franklin, Aaron Brown, Earl Ruynon Honorary pallbearers: Jeff Phillips, Vernon Terrell, and all his friends at the Menifee County Court House and law enforcement.
