John Russell Back, 48, of Jeffersonville, Kentucky passed away January 20th peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was born September 19th, 1972 to Marilyn “Jean” Lane and the late Randy Back. He grew up in Menifee County. He was proceeded in death by his father, Randy Back, his paternal grandparents, Estil and Nila Back, maternal grandparents, Willa “Billie” and Milburn “Mib” Denniston, his cousin, Samuel Adams, and his beloved dog, Hilary.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Shonda Beth Back, his daughter, Haley Sue Back, his mother Marilyn “Jean” Lane, step father Ronnie Lane, sister Amanda Caskey, nieces Alexis and Allison Caskey, his brother, Justin Lane, his mother and father in law, Brenda and John Herald, his uncle and aunt, Mike and Shelia Denniston, his aunt Valda “Jill” Adams, his cousin Stacy Maze, and several other aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his fur baby Willow.
He was the owner and operator of Back’s ATV sales that he and his wife built from the ground up. He worked for several years at Manns Used Car Lot, where he got to know many people in his community. He loved spending time with his family, riding four wheelers and side by sides, going on vacations, watching true crime shows with his daughter every night, and silently giving to those in need. He had a huge heart, he loved animals, the Harry Potter series, decorating for Christmas, and most importantly he loved Jesus.
Funeral Services will be on January 23rd at 11:30am at Jeffersonville Assembly of God with Pastor Robbie Conn officiating. Visitation will be on January 22nd at 6:00pm at Jeffersonville Assembly of God,7220 Main St. Jeffersonville, KY. He will be laid to rest in Willoughby & Martin Cemetery, Jeffersonville, KY. Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg, KY with Randy Halsey, Funeral Director.
