Kerry Philyaw

Kerry “Bill” Philyaw age, 87, of Frenchburg KY passed away Monday, December 4, 2023 at Lee County Care & Rehab Beatyville, KY after an extended illness. He was born July 23, 1936 in Walhalla, SC. to Claude Eli & Dollie Lou Swafford Philyaw.

He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior.

Preceded in death by his parents, Claude Eli & Dollie Lou Swafford Philyaw. 1 brother, Robert Hunt Jr., 1 sister, Annie Whitaker & 1 daughter, Teresa McCoy.

Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Deley Margaret Jones Philyaw of Frenchburg, KY, 4 daughters, Crystal (Rusty) Dunn of Jeffersonville, KY, Dottie (Talmadge) McPherson of Wellington, KY, Mary McPherson of Morehead, KY, Ramona McPherson of Frenchbugr, KY. 18 grandchildren & 25 great grandchildren. Survivors also include 1 sister, Demetrius (Betty) Philyaw of Means, KY,1 special nephew, Thomas Whitaker of Means, KY & host of nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Menifee Home For Funerals Chapel at 1:00 PM Wednesday December 6, 2023 with Bro. Lonnie Meeks officiating. Interment will be held at the Mack Cemetery, McCausey Ridge, Frenchburg, KY along with Military Graveside Honors conducted by the Morgan County DAV Chapter # 132. Visitation starts at 6:00 Pm Tuesday December 5, 2023 at Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg, KY. Randy Halsey, Funeral Director.
