Marion Edward Carter Sr.,age 92 of Kendrick Ridge Road, Frenchburg,Ky passed away Monday October 8,2012 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born April 15,1920 in Jonesville,VA, son of the late John & Blanche Edwards Carter. He was a retired Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance Agent and was a U.S.Navy veteran .

Surviving is his wife,Oleane Jones Carter,Frenchburg,Ky . Five daughters, Vaughn Carter,Frenchburg,Ky; Kaye Whalen of Winchester,Ky; Janet Carter of Lexington,Ky; Tina (Terry)Terrell of Mt.Sterling,Ky; Tammy (Wayne) Cole of Frenchburg,Ky. Two sons, Victor (Toni) Carter and Steve (Joan) Carter of Frenchburg,Ky. One sister, Mildred Carter (Claude) Davis of Pennington Gap,VA. Eleven grandchildren & Seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Marion Edward Carter Jr.,one brother,Harold Carter and one sister,Betty Wildberger.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, 1:PM,October 13,2012 at Menifee Home For Funerals with Rev.Roger Wells officiating.Entombment in the Carter Cemetery,Kendrick Ridge Road,Frenchburg,Ky. VISITATION: 6:PM, Friday at Menifee Home For Funerals,Frenchburg,Ky.

Pallbearers: Steve Carter, Victor Carter,Adam Carter,Terry Terrell, Wayne Cole and Frank Pitts.
