Marissa Dawn Abney Willoughby, age 27, of Frenchburg, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, August 6,2025. She was born October 4,1997, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.
Marissa was the beloved daughter of Marlene Abney and the late Tracy Abney. She was the wife of Jeff Willoughby and a loving sister to Tayia Robbins (Tyler), and Destiny Tolson (Justin). She was cherished as “Aunt Marissa” by her nieces Rayna and Clara Robbins, and nephews, Xavier and Justin Tolson. She is also survived by her grandparents, Ray & Donna Abney, Rosetta Halsey, and Rick Sorrell, as well as her adopted son, Gabe Esteppe, whom she loved dearly.
Marissa had professed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and had eared her GED, a testament to her determination and strength. She had a beautiful, radiant smile that could change the atmosphere of any room. He laughter was contagious, and she brought joy to every gathering. She loved spending time with her family, listening to music, reading poetry, watching movies, and enjoying the beauty of nature, also an animal lover.
To know Marissa was to love her. Her kind heart, warm spirit, and unmistakable light left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Marissa’s presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services 1:00pm, Sunday August 10, 2025 at Menifee home For Funerals with Bro. Jimmy Daulton officiating. Interment in Rangee Cemetery, Frenchburg, KY. Visitation, 6:00pm, Saturday at Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg, KY. Randy Halsey, Funeral Director.
