Marvin Bentley, 84, of Wellington, KY passed away Monday, April 15,2024 in the St. Joseph Hospital, Mt. Sterling, KY from a brief illness. Born on July 7,1939 in Garret, KY, a son of Richard Bentley and Edna Craft Bentley Belcher. He was a retired coal miner and a US Army Veteran. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 682 F&AM, Salt Lick, KY with 25 years of service-past Master Mason and member of the El Hasa Shiners.
Surviving is his wife of 58 years Lorene George Bentley. Two daughters, Tracy & Richard McCown, Renea Bentley, one son Michael & Dee Bentley. Several grandchildren, several great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Bentley & Edna Craft Bentley Belcher. One son, Joell Bentley. Two brothers, Conrad Bentley and Adrian Bentley. Four sisters, Velma McGinnley, Rella Faye Bentley, Doris Wanda Bentley, Willa Dean Bentley.
Funeral services 1:pm, Friday April 19, 2024, at the Big Woods Community Church, 6758 Hwy 1693, Wellington, KY with Pastor Doug Elam officiating. Interment in the Big Woods Community Cemetery, Wellington, KY. Visitation 6:pm, Thursday April 18, 2024, at the Menifee Home for Funerals, Frenchburg, KY. Randy Halsey, Funeral Director. Masonic Rites 7:pm, Thursday at the Menifee Home for Funerals Chapel Conducted by Masonic Lodge #682 F&AM, Salt Lick, KY
