Matthew David Lawson, 41, Mt. Sterling, KY, passed away Monday, January 22,2024 in St. Joseph Hospital, Mt. Sterling, KY after an extended illness. He was born August 3,1982 in Mt. Sterling, KY to John David Lawson and Linda Ross Chidester. He worked as a machine operator. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior. He was preceded in death by his father, John David Lawson.

Surviving is his mother, Linda Ross Chidester of Owingsville, KY. One son, Christian Lawson of Wellington, KY. Two sisters, Tiffany & Kalap Meeks of Frencbhurg,KY, Esther & Cliff Buckler of Owingsville, KY. Three brothers, Steven Lawson of Mt. Sterling, KY, William Earl & Alysia Lawson of Jeffersonville, KY, and Ricky Dale Lawson of Frenchburg, KY.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Friday January 26, 2024, in Menifee Home for Funerals With Bro, Tommy Evans officiating. Interment in Trumpet Sound Cemetery, Pomeroyton, KY. Visitation, 6:pm, Thursday at Menifee Home for Funerals, Frenchburg, Ky.Randy Halsey, Funeral Director.
