Michael Wayne Denniston

Michael Wayne Denniston, age, 64, of Wellington, KY passed away February 18, 2023 at UK Chandler Medical Center after a brief illness. Born March 1, 1958 in Mt. Sterling, KY to Milburn “Mib” Denniston & Willa “Billie” Denniston. He was a retired owner of Mike Denniston Inc. A mowing company he started at the age of 28. After retirement he spent his days farming the land that he loved and resided on with his beloved wife. He had a love of deer hunting and was often found “hunting” from his kitchen window while his wife served him apple pie. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior and was a member of the Korea Church of God.

Preceded in death by his parents, Milburn “Mib” & Willa “Billie” Downing Denniston; Maternal grandparents, Noah & Pearl Downing; Paternal grandparents, Russell & Ada Denniston; two nephews, John Back & Samuel Adams.

Surviving are his loving & devoted wife, Shelia Lyon Dennniston; Two sisters, Valda “Jill” Adams & Marilyn Jean Lane (Ronnie); two nieces, Stacy Maze & Amanda Lane Totty (Jon); A host of cousins, great nieces & nephews, long time friends & his loyal blue heeler, Lucy.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at the Korea Church of God with Pastors David Hale & Jimmy Daulton officiating. Final resting place will be at his beloved farm at the Denniston Family Cemetery, Wellington, KY.
