Mr. Johnny Johnson, age 71 of Wellington, Kentucky; Husband of Mrs. Shirley Burke Johnson; passed away Saturday October 20, 2007 at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky.
He was born January 1, 1936 in Floyd County, Kentucky; son of the late Joe & Eliza Johnson.
He was preceded in death by 2 sisters Carrie Hall & Fronia Johnson & 2 brothers Ballard Johnson & Rush Johnson.
He was a retired Electrician from the American Steel Corporation and was a proud United States Army Veteran. He attended the Old Regular Baptist Churches.
Survived by his loving Wife; Shirley Burke Johnson of Wellington, Kentucky and Two Daughters; Dede (Kevin) Burchett of Wellington, Kentucky and Tammy (Gavin) Warner of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. Three Grandchildren; Jeremy (Kristina) Caudill of Wellington, Kentucky, Brittany Caudill of Wellington, Kentucky and Heather Kadwell of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. Four Sisters; Pearl Harris of Andrews, Indiana, Dorothy Little of Taylor, Minnesota, Josie Little of Virgie, Kentucky, Ruby Salamone of Ecorse, Michigan, Two Brothers; Fred Johnson of Prestonsburg, Kentucky and Wavey Johnson of Virgie, Kentucky.
Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Thursday October 25, 2007 at Menifee Home For Funerals Chapel with Elder Ted Burke and other Ministers of the Old Regular Baptist Faith officiating. Burial will follow with Interment in the Big Woods Cemetery in Wellington, Kentucky.
The Family of Johnny Johnson will be receiving Friends for visitation at 6:00 P.M., Tuesday & Wednesday October 23 & 24, 2007 at Menifee Home for Funerals in Frenchburg, Kentucky.
Pallbearers: will be Friends & Relatives.
Military Rites will be conducted at the gravesite by the Morgan County D.A.V. and Two Active Duty Soldiers from Fort Knox, Kentucky.
