Mr. Shirley James Lawson, age 75, of Blevins Road in Wellington, Kentucky passed away Sunday, August 5, 2007 at his residence.
He was born March 11, 1932 in Menifee County, Kentucky son of the late Otha Lawson & Ella Igo Lawson.
He was a member of the Tarr Ridge Union Church in Frenchburg, Kentucky and retired from the United States Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his Wife; Charlene Lovely Lawson and Two sisters.
Surviving is Two Daughters; Debbie & Benny Bowman of Wellington, Kentucky and Nancy & Rick Smallwood of Frenchburg, Kentucky and One Son; Steve Lawson of Frenchburg, Kentucky. His Mother-in-Law; Retta Smith of Wellington, Kentucky and Two Brothers; Charles Lawson of Winchester, Kentucky and Vernal Buster Lawson of Dayton, Ohio. Six Grandchildren, 2 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Step Grandsons and 4 Step-Great-Grandchildren.
Shirley will be sadly missed by his Family and Friends, but our loss is certainly Heaven's Gain.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday August 9, 2007 at Menifee Home For Funerals Chapel with Rev. Bobby Reed officiating. Burial will follow with Interment in the Back Cemetery in Wellington, Kentucky.
The family of Mr. Shirley James Lawson will be accepting friends for the visitation after 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at Menifee Home For Funerals in Frenchburg, Kentucky.
Pallbearers will be friends & family.
Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Morgan Co. D.A.V.
