Mrs. Edith Ratliff Birchfield

Mrs. Edith Ratliff Birchfield,83 of Wellington, Ky passed away Sunday December 9,2007 at her home after an illness.

She was born February 27,1 924 in Menifee County, Ky daughter of the late Roscoe Ratliff & Lula McClure Ratliff.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers Elmus & Robert Ratliff and two sisters Delphine Mann & Lois Sorrell also an infant brother.

She was a retired merchant(General Store & Antique Dealer) and was a member of the Ezel United Presbyterian Church,Ezel,Ky.

She is survived by her husband Orville Birchfield of Wellington,Ky whom she married in 1941 and they celebrated 65 years of marriage in 2006. Other survivors are four children William & Regina Birchfield of Kissimmee,Fla.,Pamela & Claudell Nickell of Ezel,Ky,Robert S. & Wendy Birchfield of Lexington,Ky,Mark & Wanda Birchfield of Wellington,Ky. One sister Christine Patrick of Frenchburg,Ky. Eleven grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Tuesday 1:PM December 11,2007 at the Ezel United Presbyterian Church,Ezel,Ky with Danny Birchfield,Pastor Emily Boyce and Rev.Bob Stilson officiating. Burial in the Ezel Cemetery, Ezel,Ky. Vistation will be starting at 12:00 Noon Tuesday at the Ezel United Presbyterian Church until time of Funeral Service.Visitation 6:PM Monday at Menifee Home For Funerals,Frenchburg,Ky
