Odus Green Brown, age 91, of Wellington, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, August 21,2020 at his home after a brief illness. Born August 15,1929 in Wellington, KY, a son of Frank and Leona Montgomery Brown. He was a retired farmer and had worked for the Menifee County Road Department. Member of the Korea Church of God, Wellington, KY. A veteran of the Korean War that was recipient of the Purple Heart.
Surviving is his wife Athlene Bair Brown, daughter, Chan (Allen) Handy and son, Foy (Glynda) Brown. Four grandchildren, Carolyn (Daniel) Melton, Daniel (Tiffany) Hollon, Becky (Josh) Goodpaster, Kayla Brown. Ten great-grandchildren. Four sisters, Lee Ingram, Josephine Morris, Bonnie Corey and Eileen Peck.
He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Leona Montgomery Brown, four brothers, Howard, Hobert, Rader and Denzil Brown. Three sisters, Mayme Peyton, Beryl Barker and Mae Dean.
COVID-19 regulations will be followed as set forth by Governor Beshear and the CDC. The family request that visitors respect their desire to keep everyone safe by practicing social distancing guidelines and to wear a face covering of some sort.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm, Monday, August 24,2020 at Korea Church Of God, with Rev. David Hale officiating. Interment in Powers Cemetery, Denniston, KY, with Military Honors conducted by Morgan County Chapter #132. Visitation 11:30am,Monday at Korea Church Of God, Wellington, KY. Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg, KY. Pallbearers: Tim Brown, Nick Brown, Alan Peck, Rick Bair, Claude Brown, David Brown.
