Mr. Paul David Blackburn, age 50, of 172 Shady Lane, Wellington, KY passed away May 18, 2007 at his residence after an extended illness.

He was born August 26, 1956 in Cabell County West Virginia. Son of the late Jay Blackburn and Pauline Friley Blackburn Hale.

He was a retired carpenter for the local 472 and retired from Frenchburg Job Corps.

He is survived by his wife Cathy Kirk Blackburn, Wellington, KY. Three daughters; Shelly Kidd of Wellington, KY; Jody and Corporal James Fultz Jacksonville, NC; and Becky Blackburn Morehead, KY. Three sisters: Jody Simpson West Monroe, LA; Rosemary and Gary Hale Scott Depot, WV; Elizabeth Smith Conover, NC. One Brother; Henry and Barbara Blackburn Ashland, KY. Step-father Clifford Hale Ashland, KY.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Monday at the Neal Funeral Home Catlettsburg, KY. With the Rev. Gary E. Hale officiating. Burial will follow at the Catlettsburg Cemetery Catlettsburg, KY. Visitation will begin after 6:00 P.M. Sunday at Menifee Home for Funerals Frenchburg, KY.

Honorary Pallbearers: Joe Kirk, Newton Ross, Johnny Salyers, Joe Gay, James Fultz, Jay Simpson.
