Paul DeHart Obituary

Paul W. DeHart, age 57, of Jeffersonville, KY departed this life Thursday, May 22, 2025 in St. Joseph Hospice, Lexington, KY after an extended illness. He was born August 24,1967 in Dayton, Ohio son of Danny DeHart and Gail Clagett DeHart. He was a retired coal miner.

Paul lived a life full of passion, craftsmanship, and care. A man of many talents, he found great joy in the simple pleasures—strumming his guitar, crafting beautiful pieces in his workshop, and sharing laughter with those he loved most. His music was more than a hobby—it was a soundtrack to the lives of his family and friends. Whether gathered around a campfire or relaxing at home, Paul's melodies brought warmth and connection to every moment. Equally gifted with his hands, he spent countless hours in his woodworking shop, creating everything from furniture to keepsakes that will be cherished by generations. But more than his talents, it was Paul’s generous spirit and steadfast love that defined him. He was a devoted father and a proud grandfather, always present with a kind word, a helping hand, or a gentle piece of advice. His love for his family knew no bounds, and the time he spent with them—whether working on a project, playing music, or simply sharing a meal—was the cornerstone of his life. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, his sense of humor, and the way he made everyone feel like family. Though he has left this world, his legacy lives on in the music he played, the things he made, and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed.

Surviving is two daughters, Paula & Jon Carter, and Sarah DeHart. Two sons, Jeriod & Bethanie Kellione & Nathan & Emily DeHart. Seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Danny & Gail Clagett DeHart and infant twin brothers Larry and Gary DeHart.
