Richard Groves

Richard Groves of Denniston, KY passed away Monday, October 21, 2024 at his home after an extended illness at the age of 71. He was born March 17. 1953 in North Liberty, Indiana son of Thomas and Gwendolyn Lenz Groves. He  served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was a retired construction worker.

Surviving is his wife of 31 years Barbara McPherson Groves. One daughter  Angie Groves-Gray of Goshen, Indiana. Two sons Austin Groves (Tana) of Middlebury, Indiana, Chad Farquhar (Michelle) of Goshen, Indiana. 18 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Three sisters, Janice & Jerry Collins of Middlebury, Indiana, Paula & Merritt Groves of Georgia, Lisa & Doug Forbes of Michigan. Five Brothers, Michael & Carolyn Groves of South Bend, Indiana, Greg & Lea Groves of Michigan, Gail & Dottie Groves of Middlebury, Indiana, Terry Groves of Michigan, and Tim & Rose Groves of Goshen, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Gwendolyn Lenz Groves, two sons Danny and Matthew Groves.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Friday, October 25,2024 at Menifee Home For Funerals with Bro .Lonnie Meeks officiating. Interment in the McPherson Cemetery, Denniston, KY ( with Military Honors at graveside conducted by the Morgan County DAV, Chapter # 132). Visitation will be 11:30am, Friday at Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg, KY. Randy Halsey, Funeral Director. Pallbearers will be friends and relatives.
