Robert R. Chester

Robert R. Chester Obituary Robert (Bob) Russell Chester, 80 passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024, in his home in Rancho Cucamonga CA. He was born January 17, 1944, in Monongahela PA to the late Betty and Russell Chester.

.  The family eventually settled in California where he met and married Janice Pauline Chester in 1965. Janice and Bob were blessed with two children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Bob worked as a medical plastics engineer. After a 30+ year career he retired and enjoyed his days fishing, flying Cessnas and spending time with family. Bob’s quick wit made people around him light up with laughter. He loved spending his evenings reading engineering manuals, watching Westerns, and practicing his beautiful handwriting all while cuddled up with his dogs Patty & Brownie and cat Lily.

Bob is survived by his wife Janice Pauline Chester; his son Steven Chester; his daughter Marnie Siy; his grandchildren Anastasia, Andrew, Emily, Anne, Elijah; and his great grandchildren Jensen & Gracen; his brother Steve Chester; and his sister Kathy Henderson. He is proceeded in death by his parents Betty & Russell Chester and his brother Roy Chester.

Graveside services will be held at 1pm on Sunday April 28, 2024, at the Big Woods Community Cemetery, Wellington, KY with Rev. Jess Brewer officiating. Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg, KY. Randy Halsey,Funeral Director.
