Roger D. Murphy April 7, 1943 – May 24, 2025 (Age 82)

 Roger D. Murphy, age 82, of Wellington, KY passed away Saturday May 24, 2025 after an extended illness. Born April 7, 1943 in Ezel KY to Waneta Maye Johnson Murphy and Monroe Madison Murphy. Roger was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Roger retired from the United States Department of Agriculture as an Animal Technician. His passion in life was taking care of his family, farming, and being a good neighbor.

Surviving are his children; One son, Dale Murphy (Freda) of Denniston, KY. Two daughters, Denita Neville (Matt), of Frisco, TX; Kristy Murphy (Billy Williams) of Wellington, KY. Five grandchildren; Cassondra Williams (Benny), Tori Hilkens (Matt), Joseph Murphy (Ashton Jones), Chase Williams (Ashton), Brady Burberry (Kerstyn). Three great-grandchildren; Everett Palazzo, Stratton Williams, Harper Hilkens. Three bonus grandchildren; Sarah Neville, Daniel Neville, and Gage Williams. Two bonus great-grandchildren, Cayson Williams and Beau Hardy Williams.

He was preceded in death by his wife Zoia “Jo” Murphy. His parents, Monroe Madison Murphy & Waneta Maye Johnson Murphy. Three brothers, Carter Murphy, Logan (LG) Murphy, and Harold Murphy.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Tuesday May 27, 2025 at Menifee Home for Funerals with family and friends to speak and share memories. Burial in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Ezel, KY. Visitation will be from 11:30am – 1:00pm May 27, 2025 preceding funeral services at Menifee Home for Funerals, Frenchburg, KY with Randy Halsey, Funeral Director.

Honorary Pallbearers: Wayne Murphy, Benny Williams, Matt Hilkens, Tim Brown, Tim Adams, Benny Ledford, Kenny Culbertson, and Carlos Tufono.
