Rose Ella (Conway) Faulkner

Rose Ella Conway Faulkner, of Frenchburg, KY, also formerly a resident of West Carrollton, Ohio, passed away surrounded by family on September 23, 2022 at the age of 89 after a brief illness. Rose had a heart of gold and was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was born on June 1, 1933 in Menifee County, Kentucky. Rose enjoyed writing poems for family and friends as well as scrapbooking and a variety of other crafts. She was an expert at the art of crochet and loved a good game of Scrabble. Rose was also a cancer survivor. Most of all, she was a dedicated wife and mother to her six children.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents Preston and Gertie Hatton Conway of Frenchburg, KY, three brothers, Daniel Conway, Clarence Conway and Stanley Conway, and two sisters, Kathleen Conway Estes-Timmons and Etta Opal Conway Sons. Rose was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Aubrey D. Faulkner of Frenchburg, KY, sons Aubrey Vincent “Bugg” Faulkner and Terry W. Faulkner. She is survived by four sons, W. Keith (Terrie) Faulkner of Moraine, OH, Robert (Diane) Faulkner of Miamisburg, OH, Ricky (Candy) Faulkner of Hillsboro, OH, Tim (Colleen) Faulkner of West Carrollton, OH and two daughters-in-law, Lynn Faulkner of West Carrollton, OH and Cheryl Faulkner of West Carrollton, OH. Rose is also survived by a large number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, too numerous to name, but whom she all adored, as well as many nieces and nephews, including Hilda Conway Highley and life-long friends, Joyce and Clester Brown.

Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Joey Rogers of Means Baptist Church, held at 1pm on Tuesday, September 27th at Menifee Home for Funerals, 847 Highway 36, Frenchburg, KY, with the family receiving friends from 11am – 1pm. Burial will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery, Frenchburg, KY, with no graveside service. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
