Ruby (Dilley) Layne

Ruby Dilley Layne, age 75, of Mt. Sterling, KY and formerly of Tarr Ridge Rd.,Frenchburg, KY passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021 in Lexington, KY at her sister’s Robyn & Don Heston home after a brief illness. She was born August 6,1945 in Circleville, Ohio to Forrest Dilley and Dorothy Louise Kerns Arnett. Ruby was one of Jehovah's Witness and member of Kingdom Hall, Mt.Sterling, KY.

Surviving are one son, Jack Bradley Johnson (Susan) of Kimbolton, Ohio. Two grandchildren, Brandon Johnson (Brittany), Sheri Kitsmiller. Two great-grandchildren, Oliver and Ellis Johnson. Three sisters, Robyn Heston (Don) of Lexington,KY. Rose Karshner of Kingston,Ohio, and Susan Culp (Danny) of Worthington,Ohio. Three brothers, Lee Dilley (Katie), Wendell Arledge, Randy Arledge all of Lancaster, Ohio. Special friends, Francis Layne, Scott & Sandy Burchett, Linda & Bob Turner, and Her Beloved Maggie Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest Dilley & Dorothy Louise Kerns Arnett, her husband Landon Layne and two brothers.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Friday, July 30,2021 at Menifee Home For Funerals with Bro. Dennis Flannery officiating. Interment in the Hess Cemetery, Tarr Ridge Rd.,Frenchburg,KY. Visitation will be 11:30am,Friday at Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg,KY, Randy Halsey, Funeral Director. Pallbearers are friends and family.
