Scot Williams Obituary

Scot “Sabo” Williams, 52, of Means KY passed away the morning of May 10, 2024, following a long and hard fought battle with cancer. Scot was born September 30, 1971 to Terry Knox Williams and Debra Sue (Back) Williams. Scot loved our Lord and Savior and shared God’s love with others. He was a devoted member of Bethel Baptist Church. Scot was an inspiration to all who knew him and was loved and admired by many.

Scot was a co-owner and worked in his family’s business, WW Welding. In his free time he enjoyed golfing, watching basketball, and traveling with his wife and kids. Most of all he enjoyed his children. He was each of their biggest fan, cheering loudly from the sideline or playing endless games of hide and go seek.

Scot’s legacy will live on forever through many stories he shared and the memories of those who had the opportunity to know him. Scot will be remembered for his many one liners and being the life of the party. He was a loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

He is preceded in death by his father, Terry Knox Williams; paternal grandparents, Lowell & Eula Williams; and maternal grandparents, Deward Back and Deloris Blankenship.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Megan Barber Williams; his mother, Debra Sue Williams; three daughters, Madelyn Darnell (Nathan), Emily Williams, and Elana Williams; two sons, Knox Williams and Hayes Williams; one brother, Jamie Williams (LaJohnda); Father-in-law, David Allen Barber; Mothers-in-law, Margo Barber and Paula Richardson; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

Entombment will be held at the Machpelah Cemetery, Mt Sterling, KY. Visitation starts at 6:00 pm Monday, May 13, 2024, at Bethel Baptist Church, Frenchburg, KY.
