Troy Lawson

Troy Lawson, age 71, of Ivel, KY and formerly of Frenchburg, KY passed away Tuesday, May 10,2022 at his residence after a brief illness. Born in Mariba,KY on February 10,1951 to the late Virgil Lawson and Edna Merrell Berry Lawson. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior in 2017 and was baptized July 9th.2017. He was a retired certified diesel mechanic.

Surviving are two children, Tammy Swartz (John S. Rhodes), Troy James & Amy Lawson. Five grandchildren; Ryan (Amanda) Vanderpool, Josh (Maci) Vanderpool, Mary-Watson Stambaugh, Chase A. Lawson, Alexis M. Lawson. Four great-grandchildren: Savannah & Tripp Vanderpool, Montgomery & Madeleine Vanderpool. Numerous nieces and nephews. Six sisters, Sue Lawson, Karen Huff, Elaine (Doug) Bentley, Cathy Amos, Janey Wells, Becky (Tony) Greene. Three brothers, Mark Lawson (Irma Groves), Tony Lawson (Christy McKinney), Jack & Tina Lawson.

He was preceded in death by his parents Virgil & Edna Merrell Berry Lawson, sister, Doris Mae Botts, brother, Ted Lawson, son Jordan Ray Lawson, nephews Larry Donald Lawson,  Samuel Preston Amos, two nieces, Brenda Kay Warren and Rebecca Jean Lawson.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Sunday, May 15th.2022 at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Rhodes officiating. Burial in Barker Cemetery, Mariba, KY. Visitation will start at 6:30pm, Saturday in Bethel Baptist Church, 926 KY- 36, Frenchburg,KY.
