Virgil Conway age 100, of Jeffersonville,KY, passed away Friday, November 6,2020 at Winsor Care, Mt.Sterling, KY after a brief illness. He was born May 11, 1920 in Means, KY, a son of Jeff and Oma Ballard Conway. He was retired from Richmond Army Depot and a member of the Lucky Stop Pentecostal Church. He served in the US Army.
Surviving are a daughter Bonnie & Arlie Centers Sr.,Jeffersonville, KY. Two sons, Steve & Sharon Conway of Sandy Hook, KY, and Kenneth & Lynn Conway of Reno,Nevada. Five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeff and Oma Ballard Conway, wife Viola, grandson Arlie Centers Jr, three sisters, Molly Crisp, Bethel Crisp & Bess Phillips and two brothers, Chester & Jeff Conway Jr.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm,Friday, November 13,2020 at Menifee Home For Funerals with Rev. William Hoss Prater officiating. Interment in Conway Family Cemetery, Frenchburg, KY with Military Honors conducted by Montgomery Post 22 of the American Legion. Visitation will be 11:00am,Friday at Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg, KY with Randy Halsey,Funeral Director. Pallbearers will be friends and relatives.
COVID-19 regulations will be followed as set forth by Governor Beshear and the CDC. The family request that visitors respect their desire to keep everyone safe by practicing social distancing guidelines and to wear a face covering of some sort.
