Virgil C "Casey" Thomas

Virgil C. “Casey” Thomas, age 85, of Owingsville, KY, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2020 at his residence after an extended illness. Born February 21, 1935 in Olympia, KY, a son of the late Charlie and Gertrude Griffey Thomas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Earl Thomas.

Surviving is his wife Marjorie Ferrell Thomas of Owingsville; one daughter Barbara & Donnie Razor of Owingsville; one son Douglas & Paula Thomas of Salt Lick. Five grandchildren; Nicki Bush, Katrina Byrd, Joe Byrd, P.D.Thomas and Ewell Thomas. Eight great-grandchildren; Allie Campbell, Trevor Swartz, Mattie Thomas, Landon Thomas, Jace Byrd, Dominick Byrd, Delanie Byrd and Riley McCoy. Two great-great-grandchildren; Henry Campbell and Harper Campbell. Virgil was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church, Frenchburg,and was a quality control inspector for Mid States Steel, Lexington, KY

Due to COVID-19 requirements set forth by Governor Beshear, a private family graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 31 2020,Ferrell Family Cemetery, Hwy 211,Salt Lick, KY with Rev.
